Galizia:  when innovation makes lifting  easy and safe

The biennium 2009-2010 marks  a double  anniversary  for Galizia: 120 years’ activity, started  with the great-grandfather of the present owners  and 20 years  spent planning, building and selling pick and carry cranes, both diesel  and electric (industrial mobile cranes).

On this special occasion,  ing. Fabio Vercelli Galizia,  Managing Director of the Company,   reminds his  uncle ing.  Fulvio Galizia, sadly passed away in 2007, well known among the readers of AZmarmi  that along the years  became his clients and friends  and who are still talking about him with esteem and fondness. The family started in 1989 the production of self propelling cranes and this important anniversary is dedicated to  his memory.

Galizia reached this date  concentrating on its products innovation, and the Design Dept ., working in close association with the Commercial Area, studied the most innovative solutions aimed to make Galizia cranes even more easy  and safe to use in daily lifting operations.

From these studies  the projects were born for new models, the updating of the existing ones and the development of innovative applications. Some of the best results are the  GF crane, the first pick and carry crane with front drive and G20, the most compact pick and carry crane ever built, commanded by an helm with electronic proportional controls for drive and boom.

As regards the stone working sector, new solutions have been  found updating the lifting power and the hydraulic characteristic of the small-medium range cranes, and especially developing the XC serie dedicated to the loading and unloading of containers.

All the crane may be accessorized with an electronic joystick, complete with proportional distributor and remote radio control for the total control of the pick and carry crane (movement, steering, movements of the boom and other equipment).
