• High precision and gradualness of the movements are guaranteed:
  • in the electric models by up–to-date electronic controls with programmable microprocessors
  • in the diesel models by hydrostatic transmission that allows, after setting the forward or reverse gear, to vary the oil flow and thus, depressing the accelerator, the traslation speed
• Compactness and minimum steering radius, with back bridge rotating at 180°
• Rear wheel drive (on models G series) obtained through transmission of motion from the hydraulic motor (diesel model) to the differential gear and to two hydraulic wheel reducers, or from the electric motor (electric model.) to the differential gear and to two wheel reducers.
• Front wheel drive twin motor(on model series GF) obtained through 2 electrical motors, that can perform counter rotation through an electronic differential gear.
• Gradual and exact driving of the boom, obtained through a proportional distributor operated by a joystick, allowing also simultaneous movements.

The same models of a Galizia crane, either with electric or diesel motor, are exactly alike in form, size and diagram, as when planning the crane we considered both the two types, optimizing the product, so that our electric models are not just mere adjustments of the diesel ones,that may drag in typical adjustment problems, (such as batteries that have to be installed where they alter the weight ratio of the crane…)

Our cranes are planned and realized according to the Machinery Directive The most significant active safety system is the Load limiting device, with Black Box. The Limiting device installed on Galizia mobile cranes weights the material and signals acoustically and by a red light when reaching the maximum load allowed for that boom extension The system is composed by :

• electronic card, pressure transducers set up on the lifting cylinder and angle/extension transducers .set up on the boom
• a digital screen where is possible to read the weight, the maximum load allowed for each boom extension distance from the hook to the wheel axle, the extension and the angle

When reaching the maximum load allowed for the extension , there is an alarm and all dangerous movements are blocked, and only the drawing back of the boom to safety is allowed.
