THE GALIZIA PICK AND CARRY CRANE F 200 E Plus
A crane that may be an indispensable help in different fields of activity, especially in industrial handling and assembling, where high lifting power, safe use in closed environments, silentness and efficacy are much sought after.
All these requirements led to the project of the pick and carry crane, the “draught horse” of the lifting models, favoured by operators of the industrial sector and companies dealing with machinery transport, lifting and maintenance.
F200E Plus, electric version of the Galizia best seller crane F200, is based on the designers’ many years of experience and direct contact with hundreds of Italian and European customers.
A description of its characteristics may start from the innovative chassis and its lowered design, assuring stability and efficacy in the most demanding lifting phases. It is noteworthy that notwithstanding some oversize elements, the crane dimensions are rather compact: width 2, 17 m, max length 4, 5 m and height 2m.
This frame, modern and solid at the same time, hides the pulsating heart of the front bi motor drive, Galizia’s winning idea. The transmission system is composed by two high efficiency electric units, with two reducers coupled to the front axles and electronic regulation, customized by the manufacturer so to perform the counter rotation of the two driving motors with extreme precision and gradualness. These devices allow total steering of the crane, as well as the maximum driving power in any loading and steering conditions.
The fulcrum of the lifting system is the electric pump, electronically controlled by a Sauer Danfoss proportional distributor commanded by a joystick (with electric pushbutton and man on board sensor) , so to obtain precise and gradual movements of the boom lifting cylinder and the extraction cylinders of the extensions.
Request for the option of radio remote control of the whole crane (drive, steering and movements of the boom) has increased. Galizia was the first to install it on its cranes, more than 5 years ago, and now many users regard this option as indispensable for those complex operations that must be performed in the utmost safety.
A plus that exceeds all boundaries
The boom of F200E is made by high resistance steel, and it is specially designed to lift very heavy loads. There are many other interesting features in this new pick and carry crane. For instance, in the rear part is possible to mount movable counterweights that, even if almost invisibly inserted in the crane chassis, ensure the best calibrated weight for every operative situation.
On the crane, as standard, is fitted a monitor that, through a video camera with night vision, controls every manoeuvre space, as well as an on board high frequency battery charger.
The crane is equipped with all the safety systems required by the European Rules; particularly the electronic load limiting device has a display for visualizing data and diagnostic messages.
Compared with the F200 standard crane, the Plus version of F200E has increased of 1, 5 t its operative weight, and has a higher lifting power of 1, 5 t/m.
This project change implied over sizing the hydraulic pump and some amendments to the calibration of hydro guide and steering functions, due to the increased weight on the axles and in order to maintain a relatively low pressure in the crane.
Among F200E optional features are the jib with hydraulic movement, the 3 positions extra hook, the hydraulic winch and, as a further proof of its versatility, the hydraulic forks, equipped with side shifter, that can lift up to 10 t, for wide ranging performances when moving heavy loads, such as machinery parts or material packed in cases.

1-2 F200E Plus has a high level of manoeuvrability and movement’s precision. These qualities are required by the demanding working conditions in which this pick and carry crane operates, both in the industrial field and in the assembling of machinery and plants
3-4 The dynamic strong point of F200E Plus is the twin motor front drive with total steering, characteristics that strongly increase the shifting power of this compact crane with limited dimensions (w 2,17, l 4,5 m, h 2 m). Solid low marking tyres have been used for all its wheels, so not to damage even the most sensitive floors.
5-6-7 the boom has been designed to offer the utmost resistance to strains and in the Plus version can lift up to 1, 5t/m more than the standard version of F200E. The lifting power is excellently calibratedby adding removable counterweights inside the chassis that do not alter the crane shape.
8-9 the centralized electric plant includes every functional circuit, intuitive diagnostic systems and a fully numbered wiring. Everything is contained in a wide space easy to access, thus facilitating ordinary maintenance and quick solving of technical failures.
10-11 the lifting system is handled by a Sauer Danfoss proportional distributor, controlled by a joystick. Radio control is now an option more and more required by clients, both for the drive and for the boom, in order to control the most complex handling operations with the maximum safety.
12-13 Cabin ergonomics is enhanced by the rational distribution of control instruments. The photo shows the load limiting device with display, the rear video camera controlling the handling and the parking sensors. Among the optional are supplementary hook, jib, hydraulic winch and the exclusive availability of forks.
